Why Porous PMMA is better than Porous Silica as an active carrier?
|  Silica is inorganic so has metal ions inside
Porous PMMA has no metals or ions inside
Thus porous PMMA is much better carrier for actives or fragrances which are susceptible for the degradation catalyzed by metallic ions
Moreover porous PMMA is naturally hydrophobic inside but porous silica is hydrophilic inside so porous PMMA has more affinity for hydrophobic actives
